Maybe. At hover - TADS see only forward and up. But when it's flight and move nose down - TADS have beautiful view on all forward half-sphere..

It wouldn't be tanking it if it was trying to locate a sub, though. Not to mention, its view of the sky is going to be hampered by the rotor disc whether in flight or the hover. This is a module that might be best placed in the underbelly (as directly under the nose, as convention would have it, would obstruct what I assume is the sonar module).
It wants to be able to look down at all times, as in the hover it's unable to look at the horizon at plenty of altitudes.
