The SA-332 is a ground attack aircraft. Key features: STOL capability (using Coanda effect as An-72, by placed engine above wing), large internal weapon bays (between engine nacelle and fuselage, also may used for additional fuel tanks), turrets for self-defence and attack target in rear half-sphere.

It's still kinda under-gunned compared to an A-10. Once your bombs are gone your ability to penetrate armor is pretty much nil. So I guess it's more meant as a gunship than a tank-hunter?
