Mid-mounted wing give lower drag (I say about interference drag), but not imporove lift. High-mounted wing give more lift, compare to low and mid-mounted, but higher drag too. Low-mounted wing - shorter takeoff distance thanks to ground effect.
For reduce interference drag (when we have high or low mounted wing) sometimed make "Gull wing" (upper wing into Policarpow I-15) or "Inverted gull wing" (many aircraft... F-4U, Ju-87, soviet bomber DB-240 or Er-2)
Is the foreground one supposed to be sitting o the ground or something? Great drawing, but just a few minor details: If the one in front is taking off, they forgot to remove the saftey tags, if it is parked, why are aircraft taking off so close to it? and finally: the foregrounds wing has anhedral, while the back ones wings have dihedral. But don't get me wrong, I love your drawing, and I am very impressed by iy.
I am really glad you aren't presenting this as a futuristic design. It looks all kinds of early-jet awkward, like the Comet. It uses design ideas we just plain don't do now that we can do computer modeling and figure how dumb we were. I love it.
