The SXT-242 is a medium space shuttle. This one have a scramjet engine for fuel efficiently climb into atmosphere and rocket engine for space flight. As first stage used solid rocket booster as Space Shuttle

No linear aerospike? It would seem tailor made for this shape.

Good to see something from you, it seems like you haven't been on in a while! :D

Very nice, I love the concept! Although, I am a little confused about why it needs a scramjet when it would only use it for breaching the atmosphere after stage 1? Wouldn't it just be simpler to use another set of rocket engines? Although, I could see it as an antipodal plane (like the German Silbervogel or the US Dynasoar) if it had a scramjet. :+fav:

It uses rocket boosters only at the initial stage, for takeoff and acceleration to Mach 3.
After that, scramjet was ignite and accelerate it to Mach 10-15, without leaving the atmosphere. Only after reaching this speed used liquid rocket engine, for leaving from atmosphere and for accelerate to orbital velocity.
